Organising a live event is often both time consuming and expensive, but you can get far more bang for your buck if you can capture the day on film and use the footage to add value to your brand and attract potential customers.

Below are three cases studies to illustrate how different types of events can benefit from being filmed:

  1. FILM YOUR EVENT TO ATTRACT TICKET SALES OR EXHIBITORS

Case Study: Countryfile Live

Bower Films were commissioned to produce a series of films for this high profile outdoor event.

On rehearsal day we filmed a live show and quickly turned around a thirty second teaser for immediate release, to attract ticket sales for that year’s show.

We also captured footage during the main event which was packaged into two films to promote the following year’s event: one for potential visitors and the other to attract exhibitors.

  1. SHOOT YOUR PRODUCT LAUNCH OR CELEBRATION TO INCREASE BRAND AWARENESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Case Study: Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine

BCRM recently organised a tea party for past clients and their families to celebrate ten years of being in business. During the day we grabbed some soundbites from staff and some wonderful testimonials from past clients. BCRM shared the video on social media and received an incredible level of engagement.

  1. VIDEO YOUR CONFERENCE AND USE THE FILMS AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL

Case study: Raw Feeding Veterinary Society Annual Conference

The RFVS asked Bower Films to record their 2018 conference, which we edited into individual speaker videos. These were made available on Vimeo for purchase by delegates who wanted a recap of the day, as well as professionals who were unable to attend the event. We also repurposed the footage to create teasers for next year’s event (watch this space for a forthcoming blog on the value of repurposing!).

If you’re hosting a live event, can you benefit from:

  1. Creating a promo for next year’s event
  2. Promoting your business by grabbing vox pops or testimonials from guests
  3. Distributing or selling the footage for delegates/ people who couldn’t attend

If any of these apply, it might be worth exploring how video can make your event work twice as hard for you. Bower Films cover conferences and live events throughout Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath and beyond.
