This week we’ve been busy with some very exciting new broadcast projects which we can finally tell you about.

We’re delighted to announce that the build of our new office – ‘The Potting Shed’ is finally complete. It’s been a real labour of love – and over a year in the making – but very worth it.

We are delighted to have finally snared the very talented Nicola Goring to add to the BF team.

It’s been a busy week here at Bower Films…. Giles has just returned from a great shoot filming the very talented potter Phil Rogers being interviewed by the ever charming Charlie Ross for BBC Bargain Hunt.

We just wanted to share our latest web video, for SME London / BBC CountryFile Live, voiced by the brilliant Jon Culshaw.

Over the last few months the team have been busy filming content for the big screen, and we’ll also be there at the event itself grabbing footage to advertise next year’s show.

For the second year running Bower Films has been delighted to provide event filming for BBC Countryfile Live… here’s some snippets of Bower Films 2016 footage ahead of this year’s event to whet your appetite.

There’s lots of different methods that video can be used to enhance an event – whether it’s a large scale production like this one, or something much smaller. For this project Bower Films provided the following:

  • We filmed pre-recorded presenter films which were shown on big screens in the arenas to a crowd of thousands
  • We captured footage of the activities on the day, which was used on an ITV advert promoting the following year’s events
  • We recorded vox pops from visitors and interviewed presenters and performers to provide content for the BBC Countryfile Live website

Take a look at our Events page for more details of how we can help you get the most of your event…

BBC Bargain Hunt is one of Giles’ regular broadcast jobs. We love having a mix of both broadcast and corporate work – and it keeps us up to date with industry developments in technology and kit. It can also be a lot of fun… today we’re filming some spectacular planes at Biggin Hill Airfield in Bromley. Although a lot of our work is based near Bath and Bristol, we regularly travel all over the country and occasionally more exotic climes…

Please see our broadcast page for more details of our industry experience, which we draw upon to give our corporate clients a polished and professional product.

Giles was part of the team that made ‘Britain’s Armed History’ for BBC Arts. You can catch the episode he worked on at 9pm, Jan 12th on BBC FOUR.

Take a look here for more info on this fascinating series. For more details about our broadcast work please check out our broadcast page.

We’ve just updated our showreel to give a flavour of the different types of broadcast and web filming Bower Films has under its belt… footage includes reindeer in Norway (for a BBC childrens’ programme), an interview with an author (for her website) and circus performers filmed for an ITV advert (for BBC Countryfile Live).

We hope you enjoy it!
